I really like the ambience of this restaurant. It was casual with very nice decor, affordable prices and great food. Although the tables were rather close together, we forgot about it as the night went on since everyone was engaged in their own conversations. The poutine was absolutely delicious and we wished we could have ordered more. The entrees were all around solid except the over-cooked my requested medium-rare tenderloin just a degree too much. The dessert menu was probably the least exciting as the majority of choices did not jump out at us. But, I must have my dessert and we opted for the apple crumble with rum raisin puree which was nice. Overall, I think the appetizer and ambience was the winner. I would definitely come back again, if not for a dinner, for drinks and appetizers with friends.

I was on a tight timeline so I wasn't able to go to my usual dry cleaners to get my cleaning done. So, I decided to try the one in BCE which is close to my office - convenient. I waited by the counter for about 5 minutes before someone came over to help me. I asked for a price list so that I had an idea of what they charged and I jumped back when I saw the prices. Mind you, my usual dry cleaners is very affordable which may add to the reaction. A silk piece costs $10 and anything that is a combination of silk also costs $10. Hesitant, I asked the lady to quote me on the two pieces I needed clean. I had one silk piece that came with a polyester lining and a silk tank. She told me that it would be $10 each because they were silk. I agreed and left it with them. When I returned a day later to pick it up, the total price rang up to $36 after tax. I asked why this was significantly more expensive than my quoted price of $20 and was told that my polyester lining under my shirt (it was attached to the shirt, not an entirely new shirt) cost an additional $10. I told her that I wasn't quoted this price and that is unfair. Further, it was polyester underneath and shouldn't be calculated at the price for silk. She said that because it was attached with the silk, they also counted it as silk.

All in all, it was expensive, they were not honest with their business practices and this will be my first and last time using these guys. And plus, at that price, they did not do a better job than my $4/silk piece dry cleaner. No matter how urgent, I will never use them again.

The fact that their menu changes daily was a plus in my books. This means that the chefs are constantly creating new dishes, trying out new combinations and making each experience a unique one. There were plenty of options on the dinner menu. You could choose to have a set meal that comes with the anti-pasti, primi, secondi and dessert. Or a set meal that comes with anit-pasti and just the primi. Or you could order each dish individually. The waitress was very helpful and friendly providing us with great suggestions. It was a great experience and would definitely come back a second time.

My friends and I decided to try this restaurant as it was one of the new restaurants to open up in town. Given that it was located in Yorkville, my expectations were definitely elevated. For such a price tag, I expected food that would knock me off my seat. At the end of the day, the food that we had was decent, tasted fine but was nothing special. To compare, in my opinion, Sidecar tastes far better but for half the price.
